Very close to my house here in the Trinity Alps I discovered a down cedar and a big fir. After splitting I checked the moisture and to my surprise the splits are 16%-22%. I figure by the time I'm ready to burn, all the wood will be <20%. About 3 cords total. Good for my new BK Sirocco.

Cutting in the Trinity Alps is probably some hard work. That's some steep country.
