Been making good progress on a bunch of dead standing red oak. Barks falling off and some of it pops apart as soon as the wedge hits it. If only it was all this easy and looked as good as splits of red. Purdier than a new set of mud tars. Started raining, so I came in for lunch, but I’ll go back out and get it stacked, so I can dice up those 8’ logs tomorrow. :saw: Have a great weekend at the wood pile!

Looking good Chud ! We got rained out today. I had to reschedule a 4 cord Oak & Ash job. Kind of a bummer on the schedule, but not much I can do about the weather.

I would just like to point out, you don’t need to run your noodled halves through the planer :)

Nice oak. The straight grained stuff sure does pop apart easy.
