…of the season. Woke up this morning to a chilly 38 degrees. Took the opportunity to fire up the stove and bring it back to life with a little white fir—Perfect just to get the house warmed up a bit while enjoying a fresh cup of coffee. Fall is definitely in the air.

Congrats on the first fire! Nothing like a warm house and a little incense in the air!

Yep it is definitely getting colder at night and the trees are starting turn. Like you said fall is in the air. A good time to get some outside work done.

We had our first fire, last Wednesday evening. Just to chase away a chill.

Not quite yet for us but it won't be long.
Stove and furnace are clean and ready but haven't fired them off yet.

Have had a couple really nice outside fires over the past week though if that counts.

Why else grab the shoulder wood?
    53 and rainy.
I am glad it wasn’t September for the first one of the season.
    No arguments

Nice! There’s something special about the first fire of the season. Looks like it will be a couple weeks yet here.

We had our first fire too! I stacked some oak in the insert in the spring because I was tired of looking at a black and ashy firebox. My wife suggested a fire this evening. I lit the whole thing so I wouldn’t have to move the wood back and forth. I’m gonna go open some windows now.
