Yea your saw looked a little rough in the old pics. Maybe it was just grease that would wipe off or they were bad pics but it did not look like a model that would bring the top of the market but closer to the lower end leap with the kit. But as said you can a nice 360 or 440 but u have a 460 so there is no sense for trading for a 449 if u want a lighter saw?

To get the best bang for your buck. Take 15 minutes and spend some time with some cleaner (Fantastic, Windex, Simple Green, Purple Power, etc) a rag, and an air compressor (the compressor is my best friend for cleaning a saw and getting the hard to reach areas, under neath, and the dreaded recoil cover. All the slots on the recoil cover give me a headache).

Then post some good pics of good angles. If you want, I can PM you with more advise.

I keep seeing you post "random members" and "a few individuals". These members and individuals sell and buy saws all the time.

They (and me ;)) are the ones that are trying to help, but in turn, you reject it and delete it. Instead of asking why we keep saying these things.

You have a great saw. Period. Bar none. The 660 is a time tested machine. You just have to show it in a good light and not ignore the people who may know better and are trying to help.

Not trying to stir a hornets nest here, just wanted to share that I bought an 066 in good running condition with 20" es bar for 400$. I got a good deal. Its Not a beauty contest winner but it runs great and was cheap. I wouldnt expect more than 500 for it.

These people are trying to help you. Good pictures sell saws and anything else fpr that matter. Clean it up and shoot us some pics! Being from AK, you may want to get a couple shipping quotes to both coasts so people know what they are in for.

PHO, it's probably about 22 pounds with packaging. Maybe a little more than that with the extra OEM parts.

22# from Palmer, AK to anywhere in the contiguous states is about $40 parcel post, or $64 priority mail. Buy the priority postage online instead of at the post office and it drops to about $56. Insurance, signature confirmation, etc. would be a little more.

This has been a rough thread from the start ! These fellas are all trying to help. I wouldnt question them much myself. Its different if you put a price tag on it. People will either comment and help... Or make an offer. Trades are tough .. But as Dex can attest to...they can be done... With both parties happy :)
I also have bought.. Traded... and Sold many things. Ive sold about 100 saws on the Bay and Craigslist the last few years. Sold a few here too ! Im part of the crew that knows what it takes to sell and buy. When selling.. Dont be defensive... Be open. You could sell your saw right now for $500 on here by the sound of it ! Its something to consider. I hope u have good luck selling... And always take good pics... And vids... Which are awesome... And i hope to start doing them soon. Ive blabbered enough :)

Just in case you haven't heard enough from me (optimistic, I know), I'd be having a serious conversation with Firecracker at this point. If you have cash in hand then you can buy whatever saw you want from whoever is selling it. Trading is tougher because you're looking for someone who has the saw you want and wants the saw you have, which is a much smaller pool of people.

A saw in the condition of yours in my area would bring $350-450. With all OEM parts it goes up $100 or so. I have 2 waiting to be rebuilt now. Send the monkey a message and see if he's still interested in trading.

Thats what I was thinking mdavee. And a good shape 361 will bring that as well.

There's a unique dynamic at work dealing with these silly saws...
The 361 has a much larger potential buyer market than a 660.. In the used market, a well used 361 is likely to bring as much or more than a similar condition 660... Part of that has to do with the fact that 361's were a very desirable saw in their class, and there are more firewood cutters than loggers looking in the used market... 660's were sold by the gobs, but pro's know, if you need to replace your felling saw, the 461 is the go to machine right now..

I have no idea what subscribed means. I'm not very up to speed on internet jargon or computers.

I'll clean it once I clean off the garage and workbench a bit. I have been out in the woods or processing firewood or working on needed equipment everyday. Mostly get on here during breaks or when I should be sleeping but can't. Just figureing someone would be interested in a bigger saw than they have... ie upgrade. I'll throw it back on the shelf and let it sit, doesn't bother me any.

Shipping isn't much more to/from here than elsewhere through USPS.

That shopping that one member quoted seemed awfully high!! Not crazy bit maybe $20 more. For example I sent 2 old saws and bars nor $10 less than shopping that one.

I've had 2 other folks offer 440s in trade. From the spec sheets it shows the 440 weighing more than a 460, does that seem correct?

Not sure. I've used 440s for logging for over a decade and all I can say for sure is that after running the 066 for a few hours, the 440 feels like a feather in my hands.:)
I've run a 460 a bit (great saw) but not enough to form an overall opinion, other than I like them. I just feel like the 440 is the perfect saw if a guy can have only one saw (what a horrible thought).

Please keep all comments and criticism to a minimal amount.

Asking questions would have been enough..

Stating a Big Bore kit is less desirable isn't trashing the saw. Bringing up things that have been fixed and in the past isn't necessary. IMO. Please refrain from bringing links up as well..

I'm gonna have to delete/edit some of these posts. Period.. :(

If your not interested in the saw? Then don't comment. This is for any and all parties involved.

As for the 440? It is lighter. Same basic saw as the 460 with 6 less cc's.

And being confrontational and negative doesn't help from either side.

We all come here for the same reasons. Please don't stir the pot.
