So I got everything out and organized, filled up, sharpened and ready to go with my brand new saw and then work calls for a conference meeting!
    Wouldn’t you know it?

Can't like this post...unless the meeting runs quick and you get out to cut.

I was going to say something like "Your worst day of cutting is better than your best day of sitting at a desk," but then I thought about what the worst day of cutting might entail, and I backtracked pretty hard on that statement. I'm jonesing to get out there with my saws too. I have a desk job and it's killing me!

I wouldve crumpled a piece of paper in front of the speaker saying there was a bad connection, hung up and gone cutting. Sorry work called and im sure you'll make up for it soon.

    Happy cutting Lenny! :saw:

So made it through about 10 logs between calls.
    Now some name dropping.
Chunked the big stuff at 16” then split and stacked on pallets. The Kubota L3301 and Wicked grapple for moving duty.
Used the Stihl MS362 for that. Love it!
Also the Huskee 36 ton splitter till it ate the lovejoy coupling. Going to have to dig into that as I bought it with same issue and lass than a cord went through it before happening again.
I have a Timberwolf twp1 I could have broke out but used the Fiskars x25 to hand split for an hour.
I’ve forgotten the satisfaction of splitting by hand! The x25 did great.
The ms250 was chucked up in the bucking table(I think from Northern) and Used to cut rounds 4” or so less.
Carrying and lifting was with the logrite and logox pickaroons and husky tongs.
Rest of the Arsenal was a Truper hatchet to mark 16” and a pair of limb clippers from fiskars.
Oh yeah. And my 3M worktunes Bluetooth that I listen to my latest audiobook while working.
Good day I say all around!

Laughing. True. I enjoy “stuff” to try out after learning on here about better ways and equipment.

My wife came out as I was working and said didn’t you say you only used an axe and one chainsaw when you were a kid?

I told her the wood is a lot harder now!

Thankfully she didn’t notice the admittedly ugly single axle dump truck I brought in over the weekend! My new hoardingmobile.

Sounds like your Lovejoy couplings were not aligned. Easy fix though.

Also lol to your SO not noticing the big azz dump truck, but that she noticed all the equipment you had accumulated previously.

I had sold my dump trailer and my personal pickup as the company I work for gives me a truck. But now there is no personal towing allowed. So I ran across this dump at a good price cheap so I’m going to see how it works out. The sides fold down to make it load like a flatbed.

If one of you guys would just give me a grapple setup to stick in there between the cab and bed, I’d be set!
Well. I still have to get some speakers for the radio...
