    I finished this before the gully washer moved in, all the wood I split today was Cherry.

    Picture 9738 is what I started with, picture 9742,43 and 44 are the same pile from different sides, the wood in the last picture might get split tomorrow.

    Once I get that Cherry and the Sugar Maple off the hill that I started last week, some stacking will start.

    Woodlands, when you ever get around to getting all of this wood cut, split and stacked we will need to see the final pics of all those stacks you have! :)

    She'll be helping me but it will be with this, it must have happened yesterday. We use this trail a lot so if the Hemlock is still up tomorrow, we'll be pulling it down.

    Maybe all this chit headed this way will bring it down.

    A big rotating system. It may. Dont need that nasty stuff hanging over the trail.

    Did I ever mention how much I love splitting cherry? What a great looking pile. Stuff flies apart with a splitting maul. Nice size rounds for splitting too!

    Should season quick. :thumbs::dancer:

    Looking good Zap, as always....
    When your working the woods, how
    Much do you estimate you have cut
    This year since spring?

    I think since spring I cut close to six cord (not face) I still have that nice Cherry I'm working on with a nice size Sugar Maple up top that I'm not including in my estimate.

    This will be the most I ever cut since my first year cutting, we still have plenty of trees down....just need more time so I can save them from "The Rot".

    We still have some trees down in the Brook that the Ice Storm took down that will need to come out before winter, with some warmer weather coming in it should be perfect for getting in that cold water.

    Do you have a fast saw when trying to get that much done in a short amount of time?

    Just a chit load of time spent in the woods, regular stock saws being run here.

    I still have a few more hills that hold some nice size downed Cherry, I wish it were Beech but Mother Nature keeps knocking down our Cherry trees.

    Cherry is also a beautiful wood to work with. Not cheap to buy either
