Been working on this stack for most of the summer. Finally finished it off this morning. It's 1 & 1/3 cords of shorter stuff that I'll use for camp firewood or sell for next year.

    Pretty straight, pretty level, uniform.
If all my stacks looked that nice, the neighbors would have little to whine about .
I tried stacking the shorts we have....perhaps should have, but built a shed instead. Perhaps next year.

    Looks good!

Looks Great. I can never get my shorts to stack right. They usually fall over, for that matter so do all my stacks, I'm always amazed at how all of you have such neat rows of firewood. Keep up the good work guys.

A holz hausen will give you somewhere to stack the shorties and uglies and non-conforming splits. :D

Chuck 'em in the middle and use your nice splits to build the walls of the hausen.

I've now progressed to where all the splits are nice and stackable and I just fill the center with those as well and give away the undesirables or just trade up for rounds at the dump.
