I'm a hunter but the bucks on state game lands rarely get anywhere NEAR that big here in PA......my biggest buck, sorry but I don't have any "field" pics on my phone. He was a typical 9 point, with a 21" spread.....A really good mountain buck for public ground in our area....

Yep, it's official. I'm coming to your place Griz!

    Beautiful Bucks!!

I went to a Deer ranch a couple weeks back and they had a lot of live specimens, but also replicas of some the world's favorite (Hanson buck, old Hole in the Horn, etc)

    20140722_174959.jpg

It was pretty neat. Once the deer pass away, they go into their museum. Then they have all the Sheds from their years of life. It shows from 1.5 years till death (some went above 15 years). All racks are scored B & C.

All the deer that are alive, have their shed horns (racks) hung in the main lobby, on one of four walls. It's pretty neat to see how all bucks between 4.5 yrs - 6.5 yrs hit maturity. After that, it's a down hill slide.

Clarington Pennsylvania. Located at 12211 Pennsylvania 36. It is a HUGE place. I only took a few pics. The museum has a very large display and the outdoor pin is huge. With numerous different fenced areas to keep deer apart during the Rut. They only let certain bucks breed certain does.

Kids get to feed the fawns at 12 pm and 6pm. It's a pretty neat experience. But they are very domesticated. You can pet them while you feed the big bucks (everyone gets several handfuls of cut up apples) and even grab their horns while in velvet. It's crazy how hot their horns are while they are growing. While there is still blood flowing through them, they are incredibly warm.
