Just remember that a good GTG is much more than work. But it does add a lot to a GTG if some good work is done, especially for some that need help. Its like a neighbor of ours who has been fighting some cancer and he is getting to the point where he can't do much. We help him out every year and have some fun while doing it. Another neighbor we've helped a few times and every year she brings us lots of good foods. And sometimes we just sit around trading stories or whatever while enjoying good beverages, like good cold water...

i remember the offer and immediately thought, no. I have no use for them, but you persisted
Turns out I use them pretty often for almost everything except what you might first imagine.
This one hasn’t left my bench in a year.

I have mine in the truck, have not had occasion to use one yet. But I will, and I will enjoy them far more than the plastic ones, just because they're kinda special.
BRAD, i wonder if you could "brand" them, like with a wood burner or the like.....with "FHC" ....or dip them in paint....the FHC colors. Maybe a stamp?

I don't have any FHC swag yet/not sure there's any available.

Way to get after it guys! I love being outside, but that heat last week. Yikes! We had an outdoor gathering mid day for work. It was outside, but had a nice big roof. Just standing there I was dripping. Reminds me of why I like winter!

I think an important questions hasn't been asked; where did you go for pizza?

    1) made my own electrolyte drink...better than store bought stuff, made hot weather working achievable.
    2) willington pizza too. Probably some of the best gourmet pizza I've had. Better than John's pizza in MA (maybe except their buffalo chicken pie) Willington is the pizza I measure all others by.

You know what though, good food is always better with good company.

Thanks guys! I'd never heard of that place! Just looked at their menu.

    A CT GTG sounds fun!

An update: with an hour or four here and there, we finished splitting the last of this score, today. Pics to follow in daylight.
But, as we rejoice that the splitting phase is pretty well over with, we wanted to share a little gratitude for buZZsaw BRAD tonight. Thanks for good help, advice and company.

:salute: You are quite welcome Dave! :handshake: Always great to meet a fellow hoarder.

Now that the rounds are split, time to start hoarding again!

Did you ever find out about that dead white oak where we were cutting?

Yeah, he said he wanted the maple in his yard gone first. Even if the wood is no good, ill go and cut it up for him.
I like the idea of the oak, because I can get off the road, and cut and split at my leisure. Not like Ill be parked in front of his windows out there.
