Flame Boss 500 WiFi pit controller had a couple assembly issues that i mentioned in another review.
i have almost a dozen cooks on this now.
    easy to read screen
screen is backlit all the time as long as unit is on
comes with a nice magnet mount which i upgraded to the magnetic flex-neck
has text alerts so you can set hi-low temp alarms/door open etc
    variable speed fan
the app on the phone is fantastic with live color coded graph/data and can look at your history from a previous cook and see where something went wrong or right(really nice!!!)
can reset the cook at any time and make temp/alarm adjustments from phone
really nice for over night cooks...dont have to get outta bed to check things or make adjustments
small learning curve to get damper on the pit set to the sweet spot

the pic is of the "universal kit" (I have a ball valve style vertical pit) thats why it reads does not fit kamado style...just order according to your style cooker.

looks great. Unfortunately, that would cost more than my grill... My wife might not like me to spend that kind of money. (Well, me either). I would have to start doing more cooking with my Akorn to justify that purchase, but I can dream!
    Thanks for the write up
