I cut the cherry down. Out of state too. Had to moving job going to Rhode Island and he hired me for some chain saw work while i was there. Friend of mine's son. 4 1/2 hour round trip.
He wanted to start clearing the overgrowth on the property boundary. Took down some mostly dead cherry. Ran both top handles and the 261. IMG_4720.JPG IMG_4721.JPG
Second cut of the day and a couple mice run out of this hollow! IMG_4722.JPG
Hung this one up for about five minutes. Only way to drop it. Had to drop the twin into the pricker patch and not much fun getting it out. IMG_4723.JPG
The limits of my chain saw carving! IMG_4732.JPG
2-3 hours work. I didnt take the wood. Over a face cord cut to fireplace length. Has more he wants me to do mostly shrubby overgrowth and thats the truth!

That’s actually some nice crisp carving skills you got going there.

ever see the chainsaw guys that make mushroom sprouts out of the stumps they leave behind? I’ll have to see if I can find the video,,,‘‘twas many years ago. Maybe it could become your signature for tree jobs.

Buzz - Nice carving but 2-3 hours? Was the chain dull? Perhaps Stihl saws are way worse than I thought?
