    It seems Beech is pretty comparable to Black Birch in BTU's, rot resistance, bark texture, etc. Maybe a slightly better firewood than BB. Got to burn what you've got access to, and I have no Beech, but tons of Black Birch!!!

    Just the drying time alone is a good reason.
