    I put plaques like that on all my piles. Mainly for my wife when I'm out of town. She knows what wood is good by name but she can't indentify any of it. Also have numbers on other piles e.g. oak1,2 ,3,4, maple 1,2,3 and 4. So I know which pile is the oldest.

    That was a big limb that came down in a nieghbors yard a few months back. So yeah it was a scrounge I guess.
