A good friend I fish with and cut wood with on occasion said he didn’t think he had put up enough for this season sooo. He came over and we cut down three dead standing red oaks that will burn just fine. One down All cut up loaded and ready to go a few rounds left for me that the truck could not take. He started wood carving with the chainsaw. Brought us a gift for the wood. He asked for a 6’ log for carving. We found a nice maple that must have come down in one of this falls wind storms. He knows Jane loves owls as he left he told me the log was for a 6’ owl carving for her. I will post pictures when done.
This is awesome- I wonder if Scotty Overkill would do some of these in addition to his wood carved pumpkin offerings...?
Really like the carving also. The title of the thread reminded me of a saying I would hear in school when I was a kid.
Your friend is very talented! If he's that artistic in such a short time, makes me wonder just how good he will become? I love the xmas trees and mushroom. Very nice of you to help him out with some wood also..!
