While doing a little cutting today I suddenly felt a rush of warm fluid go down my left leg. At first I think, damm did I cut myself and just dont feel the pain yet? Nope. Thankfully the oil cap loosened up and came off releasing a bunch of warm bar oil down my leg. First time for that.

That would be a bit alarming. I guess I don't feel much though my chaps.

You should have just kept it to yourself!  But then again, I’m sure you could imagine what the replies would be before you even posted! Must have been a relief when you realized it wasn’t blood!

Now there's one I haven't done yet, unless the cap popping off a squeezed bottle of gatorade between the legs while driving counts.

I have forgotten to put the oil cap on more than once and worn bar oil. Never gas though.
Which saw? Was it a flippy cap or scrench tighten?

I've done that with both caps. Oil is not as bad as gas when running down your leg.

Been there done that with both an 046 & MS 660. Same thought too, did I just gash my leg? I've got two pair of chaps with the oil stains, those big saws hold a lot of oil too.
