I've had a couple of lightweight burns.
The weather has been lovely here in the south of England, so the stash keeps growing while the temps remain crispy.
    Happy Burning.

Had some poplar get in the stacks this summer. Sure makes good S.S. wood.
Wife lit a fire earlier this week, and have been burning a little in the mornings.
Supposed to frost tonight so started one 16018610686573832409202244037786.jpg again tonight.

Lit the boiler up a couple weeks ago for a couple days, the 18th of Sept. maybe? Warmed up, let it go out & then re fired last week. 70's coming again, so I'll likely let it go out again this week. Earliest I've fired it.

No fires here yet. Spoke to Rockford Chimney on Friday and my new liner is to ship out midweek this week. As I have said before I like to run my gas boiler a bit which turned out to be the right thing as I had an air bleeder valve sticking and leaking water. Took care of that today. Heading back in the 70's this week so it will be a bit yet for the first fire.

Where did you get the chimney pipe for that stove? You have any stove measurements and pipe I.D. dimensions?

The stove pipe is 3” ID, from 3″ Insulated Stainless-Steel Flue Pipe - Tiny Wood Stove

The stove is a Cubic Mini Grizzly
CB-1210 GRIZZLY Cubic Mini Wood Stove

It measures 13”x12”x15” (with legs) and takes 6 3/4” logs.

TinyWoodStove sells mini wood stoves too:
    STORE - Tiny Wood Stove

If I’d have known about the TinyWoodStove stoves prior to purchasing my Cubic, I probably would have bought one of them instead. TinyWoodStove has an air wash to keep the door glass clean. The Cubic doesn’t and it’s impossible to keep the door glass clean.

How’s that stove holding up long term? New cat? Any cracks or warps or problems with seals?

Although there has been one or two cloudy day mornings a short pine fire might not have been too much heat.
I get pretty good solar gain with the sun lower in the sky now so by 10/11 the front rooms of the house is pretty warm. Lotta glass on the south side.

Has been very dry and warm then a few days ago started raining with temps into the mid 40*s at night. Wif insisted "Today is the Day" so I lit her up (the stove not the Wif). Have some windows open so the "hasn't been lit for a long time" smell can dissipate. House is nice and toasty though. Heard owls the last few nights and skeins of northern ducks and geese are passing through so it can't be long til the first big push of much colder air. Burning Cedar Deodore right now.
