Our son and his family came over this evening, we went down to the shooting range so he could shoot his pistol and mine. As we came back, we rode thru the woodyard. I was showing him the hickory and other wood stacked in the big calico shed. Saw something move on the back row, had a good light with us. Haven't seen one of these in a lonf time.
A little pepper, garlic powder, and lightly fried in coconut oil ..... YUMMY !! I’m kidding..... I prefer them baked!!
Or when you are coon hunting and he's right over your head and screeches......about made me run back to the truck...
Such cool animals! We have a few Bared Owls near us in VT. They have a pretty unique call and you can hear it from quite a distance.
I love to hear all owls call. October always seems to be a noisy month with owl calls. Also many times I've had them circle me and get really close when coming to the house after hunting.
T.Jeff Veal I just noticed that you wrote on the lumber too so you could remember the details. I've got some good scribbles on my shed beams too.
One of my favorite things about living in the woods is listening to the great horned owls call. Rarely see them, but occasionally I’ll spook one in a tree while it’s hunting our cats. That is a great pic you got of that owl Jeff.
