PTO clutch engages, but gets hotter than the blazes of hell after 30 minutes of mowing. Is there anything serviceable on these or should I just swap it.

    Part number 070-1000-00.

Junk it. Go with new. Likely too much resistance making it get overly hot.

I tried to remove the old one....bottom half came off but the top is ultra stuck....any suggestions. Tried 6" gear puller and lots of PB blaster and didn't budge it.

The old one is TOASTED!!! Cant believe it even worked.

Let that Blaster soak a day or two...might need to carefully apply some heat too...

How old is the machine? I had a hell of a time trying to get the clutch off the GT17, but that clutch was on the engine for over 30 years.

Got the old one off. Not without a fight though. Looks like the bearing had an unplanned rapid disassembly and took everything else with it. New one installed and working like a champ.
