I had one of my helpers splitting this morning and he comes over to me while I’m cutting and says something is wrong with the splitter. Motor runs fine but I can hear it sounds different, like there is no load on it what so ever. I crawl under it to see the engine shaft spinning but not the hydraulic pump shaft. Then I see these on the ground. Great, just what I need. Just dropped it off at a friends house who works on small engines for cash to supplement his disability pay. Hopefully he will have it going tomorrow afternoon or Tuesday worse case scenario

Easy fix, but always sucks when equipment breaks down.

Yes this is the small one. Had another kid who was going to put 3.5 hours on it after helper #1 was done. That’s how it goes sometimes

The biggest issue is seeing who has the right size one around here.

Many/most farm supply stores stock those...I know our local TSC and RKO has them...

I keep a spare on hand, since those never break during the week when the parts stores are open. The closest TSC is an hour away...
