    that looks about as ugly as the yard black birch that I just recently stacked. It was a twisted gnarly mess!

    We don't have any of that around here that I know of, at least here at our place. If it makes fresh green Elm look easy to split, I'm not sure I want any of it here...

    I hate it. Always have. BUT the wedges on the 6 way are more like a bunch of knives and it does a really good job with it considering it’s gum. I was shocked when I pushed it through the 6 way with relative ease.

    I didnt realize it was a guessing game. Ive seen pics if gum splits (they looked more like "shreds") from your prior posts that were a lot worse than those. Have you ever had any wood dropped off that you couldnt/ wouldnt process (other than gnalies/crotches etc)?

    I use noodles to start fires, my wife does most of the lighting and feeding and she loves lighting up with noodles. Light with a match, hot enough to catch the kindling
