No, not the flowers, the trees...tulip poplar, aka yellow poplar.
Job i was working the other day had the seeds and pods littering the roof and gutters. Stopped to admire the blooms on the tree next to the house. Pics were safely taken from the roof top.

I have a couple here near our house, but too tall to see flowers easily and photograph.

Reminds me of the first time I saw this. Went to PA to visit son and found several of them. Neat.

YW. Liking the new avatar pic Mike. I noticed the chain saws are not practicing social distancing, nor are they wearing masks.

Yeah. It was time for a change of avatars.

M2theB and I did follow CDC guidelines, when we were bucking up red oak logs, a couple of months ago.

I'm glad you put this up. Yesterday I was cutting saplings, weeds and all sorts of low hanging limbs from the edge of my property. I found all sorts of blackberry bushes I didn't know were there, wild grape vines... then I came across a young tree that turned out to be one of these. It was just starting to push out flowers. I looked around some more and found the parent tree on the other side of the yard too. Nice looking tree to have.

Think our lone magnolia tree will bloom next week T.Jeff Veal . Cant believe the PA winter hasn't killed it yet. Need binos to see the blooms on our tulip poplar. They're huge.
