And finally fully on the 3 year plan and using the new wood yard. I think I have enough to start on 23-24.

You pulled it off! No more buying kiln dried or bio-bricks. Well done sir! Who knows what next winter may have in store for us.

Finished that stack today, 2.25 cord. Thanks for the kind words everyone! It sure is a great feeling to finally be organized enough to put a plan in place for the long term.

It wasn’t exactly a dud, but it was very mild compared to normal. We’re not complaining! Still burning though and will for awhile looking at the forecast, which is normal lol.

I can imagine your not complaining too much :) Really gotta love winter to live in Maine.
Our weather flipped in Ct yesterday. First night I slept with the windows open. Forgot to shut them as the temps didn’t cool off much. Just May be done burning but ya never know.

I got the next stack started today. This one is 24’ so it’ll be 2 3/4 cord to complete the 5 I’m looking for in a season. I have a cord or so left to split from the original pile and managed to scrounge a few small beech from a neighbor this afternoon and going back for a big one in the morning, about 18” DBH. Hopefully that should complete the stack. Then I need to find some more pallets for the hemlock.

It ended up being 2 good size beech at the neighbor’s and I brought it home in pieces with the bota. Added a bunch of the smaller stuff to the trailer. Plan is to finished splitting rounds tomorrow then get into the beech. I still have a couple more to take down before the leaves get to big. Didn’t get much splitting done today but I definitely added to the hoard...

I've been burning 3yr wood for the first time, this past heat season. It does make a difference.

CONGRATS! As mentioned earlier, money in the bank.

Thanks buZZsaw BRAD. :handshake: I like beech but it’s a bit stringy and twisted so I’m glad for the hydraulic splitter. It’s a challenge getting enough square pieces for cross piling. Just makes it a little more fun lol.
I had to show off my FHC swag...
