Picked this up on ($20 !) Craigslist a few years ago, and it runs great..but am in need of some parts, specifically the clutch cover/brake assy. I know it is an old saw, and found a couple listed but out of stock. Would go used if need be, but can't find anything..anyone have a source other than looking for hours on ebay or amazon? I love this saw for limbing, and it starts every time.

Thanks...tried that one and it showed the assembly but not in stock...some other sites had some parts, but not that....hoping that someone has an old one or can point me in the direction of maybe a repair shop/mechanic that will have a used one...turns out the 2036 and 2040 have the same cover.

Some parts also fit from Husky and Poulan, but not all.

Have never called...BTW the reason I need one is the brake band has always been broken, but never affected operation...but got the bar pinched and jumped the chain and twisted the band all up and screwed it all up...yesterday I finally was able to disassemble and remove the band and it is working again. Would still like to get one, I don't like running a saw without a chain brake.

I have called him a few times and asked him for a part that is not listed on the website, and he had them. It's worth a call. On the IPL if the part # starts with 503 it is a Husky part and will cross over The brake band is 503 57 22 01 same part just a different number.
