When I was a kid I used to love the little hard square licorice candies. I think we called them Ben Hurs I don’t think I’ve seen them in about 45 years or so. I also used to like Necco wafers.

Even the cakes themselves are crap now.

This was one of my all time favorites for many years and now the last grocer to carry it no longer does, I even called the company and was told I should ask the stores to stock it which I'm not going to do, I think they've over priced themselves off the shelves, and another one bites the dust, they were so good too !

Same, something I loved as a kid were these marshmallow raspberries and bananas, I hadn't had them in 30 years but as an adult I found them so sweet they'd make your teeth ache, even when you have dentures !

Did you keep any recipes or tried making it yourself? I've kept most of my moms recipes but can never make it as good, my mom and all my aunts were amazing cooks/bakers so I have a lot to miss.

Beech Nut had a plant near us, I’m not sure what happened to it.

Yes, you can buy it in several places but it is no longer the same stuff that we knew. Now it is just junk. Same for Beeman's, which is a lot like Clove.

My dad preferred Hydrox cookies over Oreoes.

However, Oreo bought out Hydrox, several years ago. I'd not be able to tell the diff.

Nope. Just blackjack and Clove. It isnt the same. The old stuff was the kind that got harder than bubblegum. This stuff becomes caulk and dissolves. Yuk. Flavor is good for about 2 minutes. I buy neco wafers a couple times a year from there now.

Is RC Cola still made? Haven’t seen that one in years. Not a soda drinker so never tried to find it. If anyone is in need of Moxie it is still made and in demand. Somewhere.
