I think the federal requirement is to keep them 6 feet apart, but states may be able to adjust that setback... :hair::rofl:

I know this was posted as a bit of a joke, but the dog in my avatar is a squirrel treeing machine. We shot out 250 to him this year between Christmas and March 1.

Fried w ith gravy is the best way and a good pot of stew comes in at a close 2nd

    Good job doggie
I could probably talk myself into squirrel stew... if I was hungry enough.

I shoot both cottontail rabbits and grey squirrels out of the garden, so I pressure can a number of them each year with carrots, potatoes, onion, a little salt and a dash of red wine. It makes a very good ready and shelf stable meal. It beats anything in the store anyways. The squirrel, and rabbit for that matter, are more tender than my venison after canning.

I can't give a recipe, but when I was growing up, me & my friends would shoot them with our pellet guns and fry up the legs like buffalo wings.

    One can do worse..

I wish there were more squirrels on the property.

Sure as he'll beats going hungry.
