I got it all cleaned up and the oil hoses changed on Friday, so I took it out to the pile of cottonwood logs at work. It sometimes was a little boggy coming up off idle but otherwise run good and cut great. I think I’m really gonna like it. Working in my back yard this evening it was running worse. Had to really pamper it to get it rapped up. Probably have to put a kit in the carburetor. how many of you were expecting something completely different?
It’s already had a go at the cottonwood logs. Friday I put a 24” sugi hara bar and new chain on it, balances perfectly. Might give it a run in the logs tomorrow
I think you should cut the whole pile...well maybe not. Need to save some logs for your next "new" saw! Just sayin. buzz-saw just got two pro model saws in a week and now im jonesing to get one too. You dang guys and your CAD. Its more contagious than Corana virus i think. Not sure what i wanna get though???
I'll admit.. I really expected something like this.. My "care package" arrived today. Glad I ordered them when I did, they're out of stock now.
Husky 572xp was what M2theB was using yesterday, cutting it red oak logs. It wasn't all that heavy, imo. It was throwing chips easily. And, in his opinion, it got good fuel mileage. That's my 445 on the left.
My therapist told me it is " Stihl-itis " . Very , very contagious . It causes an empty wallet and very often can lead to divorce.
not if you buy her one as an anniversary gift! You might be a wood hoarder if you buy your significant other a chain saw!
I see that some of Nebraska still has patches of snow. Methinks almost all of us will be glad when it is gone for this season. I see we are forecast just a little for tonight but if we get it, melting will get rid of it tomorrow.
This reminds me of a story that my friend told me years ago. He had went out and bought his wife some really expensive perfume for their anniversary. He approached her with the perfume behind his back and asked her what she wanted for their anniversary and she replied, a new jig saw. They raised reptiles and his wife built all the enclosures for the snakes and lizards. I use to say that if I got a proposal instead of a ring; which I never wear, the guy should proposed with a dado blade. I got my own dado blade so I don't know now.
