Sometimes the scores are only excitable to certain folks.
My wife had no excitement whatsoever on today’s score.
Why, I would even call her reaction very negative.
But to my fellow brethren on this group, I would expect a different reaction!

How do you plan to use them?

I wouldn’t mind a few IBC totes to store wood in. Were they free?

I’ve known for quite a while where I could score a bunch of those for free, but could never figure a good use for them in my current & ever changing hoarding setup. But when I saw this thread start I think it solved the problem of what to do with all the unstackable elm uglies I’m getting from my “ more than one load” score.
Thanks for jiggling my thoughts Lennyzx11

Lennyzx11 , I'm on board. Great score! I think we are all envious of the set up that some guys have with years worth all packaged up neatly!

Sandhillbilly , I have been wanting some of these for a long time as well. Recently I was able to get a few. I figure they will save me a time handling from stacking initially into some of these. Then instead of handling to load into the tractor bucket, carryall, or a trailer to get them to the woodshed for their final year (when it is their turn), I can put this on the forks, and take it to the shed for that stacking. Effectively saving me a time having to handle the wood.

I still have yet to cut my containers to make the mini-shed's for them.

If I end up going this route I’ll have to get a set of forks for my skid steer, witch I’ve been wanting anyway.
This place is sure helpful with :makeitrain"

My plan is to remove the tanks, cut a drop down door on one side so I can reach the bottom. Then cut the tanks on a diagonal to make a triangle shaped roof OR maybe cut the bottom 12” or so and flip it over on top of the wood as a flat roof inside the wire frame. Still pondering that part.

To work I plan on sitting tote at end of splitter and chunk/kinda stack straight off of it.
The opposite end of the splitter have the tractor bucket or grapple or dump trailer loaded with rounds.
This sometimes may be working from the ground if I’ve cut up logs and the rounds are on the ground.

Once loaded, set the totes out in the sun/wind for a year or two then move them by tractor and hand stack into the firewood shed by the house which holds about two cords right before burning season starts in October.
