What a mess, i also got in trouble with upper management about my lawn and all the pallets being all over the place. Im supposed to be doing my best to not make the front of our house look like a “wood yard “. My front processing area is pretty full so im going to have to start stacking the perimeter. I havnt approached my boss with this yet. Im so nervous

It's pretty bad for sure. I avoided splitting yesterday because I didnt want to destroy the yard. I'll get after it again once the ground dries some, and or freezes again.

Bare ground in January, I'll take it!
Good luck! Ask her advice, keep talking about it, and she'll get so bored with the subject she'll say" do whatever you want"!

Horrible mud here in the White Mountains, NH. Saturday afternoon hit 58° in the valleys. We went from Christmas postcard scerery to a patchwork of slushy snow and mud. My crushed stone driveway will rut like crazy. Forecast says cold will return this week, but no snow until next weekend.

That's gonna suck when the ruts freeze and then you get more snow.

Same issue here yesterday. Hit 60 degrees and our lower driveway turned into a mud rut lane. I wanted to get up the hill, too, with the ATV and trailer and haul out some wood but decided against it. Would have been a rut-maker of a climb up the steep sections of the trail with the wet, slushy ground. Looks like some colder weather and snow back in the forecast later this week.

X2. Really like it MAD777 and I got one like it.
The trick with gravel driveways and thaws is to get 5 gallon Buckets of your driveway mix and fill in potholes and rust as you go..

This weather really makes me thankful we live on sand. Yes, there can be some mud but never had a problem with our driveway; only in the woods.

Speaking of in the woods, yesterday we took a walk and were amazed at the amount of water. Of course there is a coating of ice on to and then some snow but not much. Ground not frozen under that crap so will not be taking a tractor into the woods for sure.

I think you should have your own forum section. Like Dear Abbey for wood hoarders. Help keep us guys out of trouble with the women :)
We’d also have someone to blame if it backfires Hahahaha

As my username will indicate, I was not happy about the weather.

Our road in VT was fairly rutted in sections when we left yesterday late morning.
