    :) :) :) :)
    Couldn’t help the title, really.
Not the biggest girth of red oak but these two brothers may be the tallest I’ve seen in awhile.
The Black Birch in front trying to reach the crotches is at least 50 feet.
Off to the right you can see the dead branches of a white oak that’s a more normal size tree
Think I’ll be wearing a hard hat when the day comes to topple these boys.
Last pic is a good 40” red oak that came down. Lots of ant condos in the trunk and it’s a little punky wood. Maybe the bigger branches have some good btu’s left. Might cut the trunk for campers ;)

a few cords there for sure and yup a hard hat a good idea. Speaking of campers, did you ever sell those whellbarrows of wood you had for sale?

Looks like fun. I second the hard hat idea for sure. Wear mine as a matter of course.

Instead of possibly killing yourself with falling branches, why don't you work up the one in the background that is already on the ground. If you do cut, make sure you are Looking up at all times.

Agree. No need to focus on the cut, watch what the tree is doing overhead.

I was hoping to see a giant noodle with girth. Ok, I take that back...I really don’t want to see that.

I put out a trailer load during Labor Day weekend. No buyers. Wanted my trailer back so I quit LOL
I’ll try again starting spring. Have some pine splits I can try and lure them in with. No more chunks. I’m burning some ash chunks now. Putting them all on old pallets. I can burn them easy enough.
Woulda thought most of the campers were gone after Labor Day. Seems to not be the case. People on the lake were still complaining of the smoke from campfires up until Halloween.
