Is this black birch? Seasoning time?

    I can't remember the other three choices but that wasn't one. It was for a windrow planting it said. So that wouldn't have been a logical choice or one they would of provided since it's not windrow type thing. But I did leave that out of my original message so it's not anything harmfully to a horse but what if the windrow things you would have considered.

    Was Yew on the list?

    I mostly know Walnut from having to segregate the chips and dust when we worked with it at the wood shop. Some families that kept horses would take all the waste from our dust collector for their horses so we'd make sure it wasn't contaminated. We'd also separate Spanish Cedar but I didn't figure that would be one of the answers.

    I appreciate the help. My car smells like mint which would make me think birch. However the bark looks similar to cherry.

    They are close relatives. The bark looks similar but at different stages. Smells like mint, it's Birch.
