I have this ongoing issue with squirrels getting on my roof... There up there all the time and I'm getting concerned they made a nest in my attic, although I can't find it.

The little buggers climb this tree next to my house... Up and down all the time during the fall. :picard:
A few developed lead poisoning, but I would have to quit my job and camp out next to the tree to make that a permanent solution.

So yesterday I wrapped the trunk in some thin brown galvanized sheet extending 48" up the trunk.

We will see if it works or not.... Is it going to work??

Well it’s keeping the lady and the dog out of the tree.

Hope so, maybe they can't find anything else to grab on to.

It depends if there is another tree or bush close. They can jump a long ways. Don't think they can jump 4' from ground level though. Doesn't the dog keep them away a bit?

That tin wrap is just what the utilities do on the poles to keep squirrels and coons off. Works good as long as they don't have another access, like jumping from a tree...

Be careful of killing them. For every 1 you kill, 6 comes to its funeral.

I'm glad to hear I'm not the only one using this idea... I don't want to cut the tree down, unless I have to..

One thing for sure, I'll know if it works or not. You can hear those buggers on the roof. So far so good.
