I saw those...they look like a good unit...the good thing is harbor freight pretty much takes anything back, at least here, if the tool is junk. The new Bauer and Hercules lines look decent too.....you buying one? Price wise, can't go wrong

    The video review was good.
I think of they could have added ac tig, it'd be a hit.
I would have liked a through the lens video to see the arc for tig and stick, for me that makes a big difference as far as how well it runs either.

    Good comments
Only Problem now is that 3 day sale for the OmniPro 220 from Sunday till 10-31-2017 is that there is none in stock in our country and the next batch due in on the boat from China is not till Feb 2018!!!

Looks like the 3 day sale is off and a new higher sale price is on!

Here is a vid on the Vulcan Spool Gun.
    Anyone try this?

Also see second pic? Any comments about welding aluminum?

    County or country?:tears:
I saw on welding web they don't even have pedals and other accessories yet.

The spool gun looks cool, I've seen that video. Guy seems like a putz. "It feels cheap"? Compared to what? It's a friggin MIG spool gun, Imo the guts are what matter.

For the price It seems unbeatable.

The spool gun is what I was considering. Ive been eyballing used Miller's......this is cheaper than a used unit.
Whenever I do aluminum I tig it. On larger projects it can be a pain, but how often would I use it vs the cost? The last project I did was rebuilding a snowmobile trailer took forever tig welding.  but it gave me good cause to use the finger control!

Welding aluminum is just like steel, the puddle is harder for novices to see. You usually have to move quicker as well. It requires* cleaning/prep prior to welding as well Wich I hate doing.
    Anyone can MIG weld.

    Hello
Finally got the welder delivered to my door! I guess it was worth the wait to get that 3 Day Sale 10-31-2017 price back at the end of October! I just got it in a little less than a 3 month wait until the boat came in! Now they have plenty at the regular price of $849.95 LOL! Got a tank of C25 from AirGas and the welding cabinet using the super coupon for $147.99 The 20% off coupon cannot be used for the welder or cabinet but it can be used on the $69.95 welding table. So I got a deal on that too! Therefore saving $136 all together is that a good buy?

Do you think it's a good deal? I think it's ok?!.

I find nothing wrong with their carts or that cabinet.
Using a larger bottle will save you money and be more convenient. If you upgrade bottles you can keep the small bottle for say "specialty" tri mix or something.
I'm interested to see how the regulator lasts and works.
I also hate airgas, but usem when I have to. I 'm lucky enough to have good small local competitors.

I have used the Omni pro 220 multiprocess unit and it’s pretty nice! I’d say it is one heck of a welder.... Very stable no power fluctuations at all and feeds smooth. Ive laid very nice welds with it.

The only thing I’ve done is Mig with it so I can’t say anything in regards to the Arc and tig end of things but my friend Tigs with it and so far likes it.

That said I don’t own it however if I where in the market for another welder it be on my list. The ability to Tig, Mig and Arc all in one is a seller for me. I hate stick welding BUT it’s necessary from time to time.

    Nice to hear. :)
Do you use flux core or gas?
I still have to get a helmet. Any recommendations?

I’ve been using that table for 3 years I think somewhere in there and it is AWESOME. I gave one to amateur cutter as well. I believe he uses it a lot too.

Best cheap table for welding I’ve come across. Admittedly I have warped the top a little but it doesn’t affect how it works and it hasn’t rusted

Auto darkening is something I would recommend using a flip down lense or helmet is annoying at every level.

I have a metal man helmet and love it

I also have a HF auto darkening helmet it has never let me down. The upside if it gets walked off with the helmet was cheap.

Personally I’m saving for an esab sentinel. That’s a very nice helmet...

If your looking for a good cheap helmet the HF has done me well and replacement lenses are cheap at HF....

I really like how well they are made and the wide view! The lenses are probably more expensive but for home it would be perfectly fine. The HF welding helmet is going in the work van. Those are $5 a 4 pack of lenses super cheap!

    Hi PP
I like that big tank of gas! How many hours do u get from that?
I like the draws to store the flux core wire, sheet metal Guage and other accessories.
Do you have a tri-mix too?

Honestly no idea how many hours it’s my home rig so it just depends on how much welding I do . The last tank lasted 6 months or close to it.

I use straight co2 at home no mix although if you want to keep splatter down you could use argon and co2. That tank is $20 to fill and works just fine for what I do at home.

In the work environment we do TONS of stainless and the pro welders we have use helium and co2 a lot. We also do mild steel on older farms which gets co2 and argon mix or arc.

I do have torches too that’s use the co2 with but the are rarely pulled out for use.
