Nice out this morning started out at 26 and is warming up fast, loaded up and heading over to my parents land, wanted to get out back but baried the atv in the snow so can't make it that far yet. So I cut up some dead elm closer and wacked down a bunch of buckthorn in the process.

Seen a tree with the top broke off, I'm thinking basswood? May go after it when the snow gets a little less.

Yeah, snow depth can be an issue. It's melting quickly though at least.

Looks like basswood to me as well. It dries quickly at least.

I didn't see one, I think it's just the way the branch's had grown.

Nice to get out and cut. Will you burn that right away? Looks like basswood to me too.
We had rain and temps pushing 50 so lots of melting going on. Enough hopefully so i can get back to a score put on hold due to the snow.

I will, I seen them last year but never got to them, they are nice and dry, got unloaded right by the OWB to get burned right away. Highest I seen today was 51, snow is melting like mad. On one hand it's nice but on the other, I can cut in snow, mud and water I can't.
