I have knock-off stove that I will not be using for heat. It is similar to the one pictured. Would that be a good base to create a smoker?

In my opinion, "YOU BET"! Pipe it to a stationary tank or something of the sort. Make a grill assembly in the tank and the exhaust 1/2 the diameter if the stove pipe. That will keep your heat and smoke where you want it!

Whats the worst can happen? It may look like "Frankengrill" but it it works, who cares! Go for it!!!

I got a old Fisher I've been kicking around with that Idea, but I have too many projects on the burner now!

Smoking is the easiest form of outdoor cooking because you don't need high temps. I mainly smoke food out of a brick box. Yep, you bet that stove would work. Please post pictures!!!
