This is the third version of the cast iron pan skillet bake. I fired the oven with white cedar and elm splits. The oven settled in at 550 degrees. This time I used baked beans, kielbasa, mac n cheese with Panko crumbs on top and cornbread. I sprinkled cheddar and jack cheese on top. 45 minutes in the oven.
Holy crap, Jon. Just stop. Ok, don't, but WOW. Don't let that little crumb over there on the right escape. It's makin' a break for it.
I have a few scoops leftover for breakfast. Maybe a few fried eggs over easy will go well with it. Sorry not helping here.
I went out and demolished a lebanon bologne & cheese sandwich with doritos and a granola bar. I come back here reading about eggs over easy on your custom leftovers. Not fair! I may have to break out the heavy artillery tomorrow morning.
Ok, 25 minutes later........ (not trying to hijack your thread here) -Fried Eggs -Corned Beef Hash -Bacon -Blueberry Pancakes -Home Made Maple Syrup
Oh my I can't help but look at the new bake thread each time I see one!!!! I gave up carbs a while ago and lost a good deal of weight but I'm thinking I may have to go back now!!!!
I'll take one for the team. Do put up some pit cooking pictures if you can. Lots of folks here like food pics from all around the country.
Didn't see this thread until now. I am waiting for Campinspecter's baked potatoes to come out of the boiler. Now I am drooling as well. This summer when I have more time, I am going to have to experiment as well.
