Myself, I would give it a week. No reason, just me.
Is it fired up yet? I'd probably test it then too.

I ordered a 3 way siemens electronic that will close off the heat supply to exchange once pool return hits a set number. But right now it's all out. Lol

Just put a load on house to test. That 1 1/4. Thermostatic valve or horrible. My flow was 9gpm with the cold water. And my water needed to be 170 to see flow at house. Now that everything is hot my flow is only 4. I am worried I have something clogged. Maybe the cirt. Internal check.

So LongPond. On the end of the cover building for your boiler. Will that end be enclosed and have some type of insulated barrier around those water lines before they enter boiler?

Not sure of your location. On my phone now. But I would suggest you at least come up with something that will block the wind. But also would suggest you put something around the entire end of the shelter to make things much more enjoyable for yourself when the nasty weather hits. I just don't want to see you cursing up a storm when the nasty weather is upon you. Every time something goes wrong with a heating unit seems like when it is the coldest time.

Nice. Hope it all works out well for you LongPond. Hopefully you can make sure all is working well before it starts to get cold. Even if you have to open windows and run it for a while off and on, and then repeat several times to see if you can find any "issues".

I have been running it with 155k btu pool heater drawing and it has been going to idle then thru the stages . My house boiler is a little funny because it throws an error code. Mainly because the temp raises to fast. Once it's up to temp it's fine it's just initial start up.

I wish I had read this thread earlier otherwise I would have seriously tried to talk you out of building a shed for your outside wood boiler at all. I say that with authority because my father had an enclosed wood boiler, as well as a friend who enclosed his, caused both to burn their houses to the ground. That is serious stuff. I can understand the urge to protect such an investment with a building, but they are already protected with a steel one.

In both cases they were cutting wood with a chainsaw close to the boiler. Spraying the area with sawdust, embers dropped down from an opened door in my friends case, and wiring off the fan motor caused sparks to rain down in my father's case. Either way it soon caught the wood nearby, then the building that surrounded the boiler, then soon their homes. In both cases the boiler and building was too close to the house, but if they had not surrounded the boiler with a building, they probably would not have lost their homes. It was simply more fuel for the fire...literally.

I suppose if the boiler was some 100 feet away from any other structure it would be fine, but who wants to run pex that far away. Anyway, just we wary. It has happened a lot here.

So sad to hear about the loss of homes!

Sounds like the building around the boiler had little to do with it......no?
Clean up that sawdust and feel safe. That would be like never cleaning around an indoor stove.

Wiring from an electric motor creating sparks? What kind of shape was it in to create that?
