I finally pulled the trigger on a garden tractor after drooling over them for years. I sure wish I would have bought one a long time ago. These little things can do a lot of work for their size.
Yes, and I also bought some tire chains and a snow plow for it. I got a smoking deal on it at Home Depot someone bought it and used it once and returned it. The hour meter shows 1.5 hours on it but they knocked off $600 so I got the trailer, plow and chains for what it would have cost brand new. It is a 22 hp 46" deck my wood splitter is small so this will tow it around the yard as well. I still need to make some stake sides for the trailer so I can put more wood in the cart but so far it is exceeding my expectations as to what it can do.
(Don't shoot the messenger) I would recommend not adding side boards. The Brinly will NOT take it. I also recommend keeping the receipt for it. Your going to need it! Get your money back while you can or plan on dealing with the warranty department. Official yard cart/ utility trailer thread Warranty pics Official yard cart/ utility trailer thread
Some plywood in the bottom of that cart using the existing mounting bolts will help you not have the problem TurboDiesel had. Poly tubs get brittle....especially in the cold. Don't throw wood in....Place it. Nice score! I'm a sucker for a deal and it sounds like you got a good deal!
Thanks for the heads up. on the trailer. That is some good info in those post. I will be checking craigs list for an old metal trailer.
Nice rig!! Is that the XT1 or XT2? I got my dad to get one last year after fighting the old craftsman for too long (although the craftsman ended up in my barn somehow for my son to have his first "tractor" right beside the old cub cadet 125.) He loves it and it was the first hydro he's ever had and he still amazed every time he mows
