We can have it at my place. With "Rock the Flock", Forestry Tours and maybe a Micro-Logging Equipment Conference next year, my place is quickly becoming an unofficial fairgrounds. :)

I’d love to go to Maine. I’ll ask my parole officer if I can leave the county.

Not to derail this thread, but rather to explain a point, I am working with the local regional forester to do that micro-logging equipment conference. It was his idea and I just am encouraging him, but the idea is to get a bunch of people together who have small logging equipment. I know the big stuff is impressive; I am impressed, but to me I LOVE doing big stuff with small equipment. In this case it would not be my bulldozer or skidder, but my log trailer. The regional forester knows other people who have similar small logging stuff. We want to bring all us together and have a mini-logging equipment demonstration. I told him he could do that at my farm if he wished.

It is not my Parole Officer that limits me, but rather my Domestic Supervisor, also known as Katie, or also known as, my wife! At times she functions as my Chief Financial Officer too, especially regarding road trips out of state if that is the case.

(Note: Said wife does not need to be notified of this post to confirm, or deny this statement!)

That sounds about perfect, near the coast, but not too close, and not way up North, although that is lovely too. Sounds like a four hour drive for me, that's easy!

First of all... wow... what a fun time we've had with Scotty Overkill and his honey. Instant family bond for all 4 of us, and that part kind of surprised us, I think, because it happened so fast. I'll try not to over do this but... gotta say it. Scott is one class act. Other than my Dad, I can't remember spending time with anyone I respected and enjoyed more. Before they came, he was just the creator & administrator of this FHC forum, only... to me. As they head off home, with all of the stories and family love that happened here... he and his bride are permanently attached to our family. She and Vicki hit it off like instant sisters too. Vicki and I are so flattered and glad they chose to spend a few days of their fall foliage trip with us. You'd think a young couple, on their 20th, would want to be anywhere but hangin' out with these ole fahts...  ... clearly, they're just a little bit off... just like us... gotta be that wood burnin' thing... :D

The ultimate understatement concretegrazer ... I know there's only so many hours in a day, but I hope every single hoarder gets to spend time with Scott too.
