I still haven't seen any shaved head. Nice work there guys. Hope the kids get better with the colds Jeremy. Some of you worked too much. 343amc, time to take it easy for a while. Have you had something cold to drink and a sit down yet?
It's not bad. Definitely has a strong pumpkin pie spice flavor to it. It's nothing I'd want to mow through a lot of, but it's good for something different. It came in the Sam Adams harvest variety pack. The hazelnut brown that was in that package was my favorite. Wish I could find that in a a 6 pack by itself.
What's up today... Both kids are sick... Woke us up at 4:30 ... now I'm sick. Ugh. Sprout TV is rotting my brain.
Work, unless it rains then just work around the farm. Possibly get in a tree this afternoon, the front is supposed to move through pretty quick.
Trying to get the old Ford tractor going this morning. Need to cut grass and brush on the trail. Then finish insulation in camp when the rain comes.
The guy my father bought it from never wired it right I guess. I am not a mechanic, but my brother and his son both are. It ran great when he looked at it and then bought it. But it had a new or newer battery in it. Well when the battery wore down the trouble was realized. The generator is not recharging the battery. My brother said there was a whole plug missing off of the generator that is required to recharge the battery. That plug has two wires that come from it. He thinks the whole wiring needs to be redone though. And is too busy right now to do it. It runs good but you have to jump it and without the battery getting recharged sometimes it will die on you if it is just sitting there idling and no load applied to keep it going. Pain right in the ars when you are not near the truck. Anywho, I need to bring a jump box with me if I go in the woods or get the thing re-wired. Don't really want to spend the money on it now though. Sorry about the novel. LOFL
That little plug is probably just the field excite and tach connections. Are the spade connections there at right angles to each other? You probably just need to run one wire from 12v+ on the battery, or from the positive stud on the Alt itself, to the correct spade. That will excite the field and you'll be charging. 5 minute job.
The rain put an end to the work earlier today. I did get some "work" done after lunch while kicked back in the chair for a bit though.
Yeah, take a pic of where the plug goes and the other connections on the alternator. It's probably dead simple. Is it a 9N? What's the engine?
