At the bottom of the screen click "Upload a File" button. Burls are cool for wood carving, seen some nice bowls made from them.

Welcome Duvekot, you're gonna like it here, I guarantee it-lots of friendly, knowledgeable folks-most with a sense of humor and great "counseling" skills for your addiction...Now just sit back and watch as the ideas for that unique burl start pouring in...(just be prepared for something off the wall from that dude just south of me, initials EVW)

    Nice to meet ya :handshake:

Ho Lee crap! That's a biggun! If you aren't a woodworker, I 'd sell it if it were me.
Have any idea what species it's from?

Shawn Curry may have some ideas also.

WoW!!! :jaw::bug: Maple? That is beautiful!

I don't think I could ever bring myself to cut that thing! It's so cool as is, I'd display it just like that. Maybe get a custom piece of glass made to set on top of it:

[EDIT] You could call it an "Ent Table". :D

After getting over the first impulse to have it sent out for a biopsy.....

I think I would leave it whole also.

But then there is that curiosity that wonders what it would look like if it was to be cut into slabs.....or turned into bowls....

Wow! Wood turners dream right there! If you're on any social media sites (FB) or know someone who is, there are wood turning groups that I see unique wood for sale. Would expand your audience and I imagine you could get quite a pile of cash for that if the right people see it.

IMG_3138.JPG Well thx guys for all the advice! I am not a wood worker/turner. So i will just put it aside for someone who really likes to give me some good money for it. ( what can it be worth?)
I got it from an old swedish guy and he got lots more burls in his shed ( i think more than 200 kilos) all differt sizes.
So if anyone is intressend just say so!
I really dont know what kind of wood it is. I will ask around here and come back here to let you guys know.

Here is an other picture from the bottom side.

    Have a nice day all.
    (Excus my bad english)
