Was at a food truck rodeo with my bride last night and enjoyed some Sierra Nevada Pale Ale. It's not my typical "go-to" brew but I liked it.
Took my fiancé and my god daughter wine tasting today. Tasted everything, bought a few bottles, but having some Yeungling tonight.
Went to pick up some beer, the manager knows I like German beer so she suggested a Schells Hefeweizen. It's a darn good version of the German beer. Schells is a family owned brewery that's been around forever and it's just up road in New Ulm, Minnesota.
Had those one night... 3 drinks... let's just say that wasn't a good night and was the last time that I've drank those..
I had this stuff the other night before the sweetie came over. This is Okoboji's beer or rather one of them and I like this. They had a Smoked Red label I tried first time of their beers on tap but prefer the lighter ones until fall hits. This one goes down real smooth. One of my new favorites. I managed to get a relative to bring it home with her on a drive since I had to fly. Grabbed a 6 of Märzen Style Ofest beer too. (Watch for post later)Kinda seem to have a creedence with beer: match the beer with color of the sky at 5:30 at the time of the year.
It is great! Had some last year and again this past weekend. Straight, nothing else. I have seen it somewhere in the states for around $60 (15 year) and would be well worth it. Very very smooth! Makes ya want to be a pirate.....
Whoops!! Posted this originally on the wrong thread! hehehe.... Have gone back to drinking wine coolers. I forgot how good the 80s were.
