The taipan is the worst luckily there up north, those taipan are like a psychopathic meth head they will actually chase you down. Rattlers at least give you a warning, Aussie snakes strike without warning. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
It burns rather clean. A lot better than pine. I have two inbuilt stoves and I have never had a problem with the flue's. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
That's the scary part to me. That and that some will chase you down as you said. The article said the same. The death adder holding its ground instead of moving, then stepping on it, and it strikes sounds like a bad deal all around. I'd take sharks all day over hidden poisonous snakes. Salty Crocs, those are kinda scary.
Im going to guess that the folks who burned it were burning unseasoned. They forgot to put it on their "3 year plan". *guffaw*
Yes I think if you burned it unseasoned you would defiantly have problems. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Great pics, good to see pictures of the Aussie bush, I used to live in Armadale WA. We had a wood stove in the games room for cold winter nights, although nothing near our Scottish winter.
What a great post and pictures! I wouldn't get off the plane if they said Australia lol. All the nature shows I've watched over the years has me . That funnel web spider had me checking my slippers lol.
Nice ute and trailer. Love the box on the ute thats a great saw and tool hauler. Snakes? We got rattlers where i live but not even close to as scary as some parts of eastern u.s. the snakes in ausie land would make me very afraid.
You must be nearing the end of summer there so as we near the end of heating season, you are getting closer. Still seems strange on the same planet but that's what happens when things are round.
great job leoht great ute... love those things.. snakes in Aussie bad, spiders bad, fires ridiculous. . but beer is good it all evens out...
Love the truck, saws, and your whole set up. I am interested in that fuel can, do you have any info on it?
Yep Husqvarna combi can it is. It's great, easy to use and you don't spill a drop of fuel. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Day 4 of my hoardathon. I was out bush before sunrise again. Scouted for some, using a head lamp, and started cutting at first light. It was another good morning, there was a light fog that kept things cool for a while, but I still managed to work up a mean sweat. 4 days and I have 2022's winter wood supply. Oh, and I have achieved SWA status, 17 cords of Aussie hard wood! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
