If I would have named a stove it would have been about 17 years ago and I would have named the homemade double barrel stove in the basement "Lucky"

    I still have a house.

Gertrude, or Gertie, for short. She's stout, thicker than she is tall, and kinda plane; but she's a darned fine worker, and dependable as the day is long.

I've got one set of neighbors at the cottage that I have "special" names for also! The other set of neighbors are perfect!

Hey Yooper Dave. Up here we refer to Yoopers as 'Boot Camp' recruits for applying to be a full fledged Canuck. LOL

Then we must be pretty damm close to the real thing...I can't tell you how many times people have asked me (once I spoke) "how did a Canadian get into the US Navy" when I was active!
Only difference between us I can tell is the handgun thing.....

    And of course, "Welcome aboard!"

Indeed. I have spent a lot of time with a bunch of Yoopers doing prison ministry in the MDOC facilities. Fine men and great friends. We kid around a lot and they mostly get the best shots in. We live close to the border but not over as much since our pesos took a dive. I'll be keeping an eye out for your posts. Starting to coll off so we can burn a bit of maple now.

The insert doesn't have a name other than 'wood stove'. Easier to say.

My daughter named the pellet burning furnace the 'basement monster' due to the noises it makes when it runs through its self clean cycle every 8 hours or so. She was 9 when I got it, so every strange noise was cause for alarm.

Might have to renew this one since Im sure others will chime in. I'll have to give mine one soon. Currently if stoves are called "shes" and as she sits I shall call her "Lady in Waiting" as she waits for installation!!!:hair::hair::hair::picard:
