Interesting structure. Little short wood. Good to see another burner from a far off place here. Glad you found it and welcome! I would love to see a few pics of the interior of that place if you feel comfortable doing so. Maybe the floors and ceiling, walls and woodwork detail. It looks to have some age to it!! ;-)
Hi Gents and thank you for your warm welcome. See pictures. These are from the agent who sold it. We only moved in last September. The Church was built in 1849. Apparently on the site of a previous place of worship. The bell is dated 1636 I think, it's not connected any more but this is on my long list of things to do. The wood burner is in the kitchen. The other fire in the main area is gas. I negotiated the Organ and Bible stand into the purchase along with various other pieces of furniture. The Marble plaque was something I had to restore, it's in the Chancel area along with stained glass windows etc. It's a bit frightening owning this kind of thing due to the fact that most repairs could be expensive but my Wife and I feel blessed to be here. It's only a few months now until I can fire up the wood burner in earnest.
Again think alike!! WOW is what I was going to say! That's amazing Phil! Love the area with the pulpt was with the bible. The main room is amazing. I love that leather couch and those floops are awsome! Cool rock wall as well.
Welcome to FHC, Phil! you certainly have a beautiful place there! I like when people repurpose old churches as homes, it's classy.
G'day Phil welcome to FHC. If you are new to burning firewood you can learn a lot from these blokes and gals. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
