Thought a flashlight thread would be handy also.

I like the Streamlight PolyTac. I have a few of these.
The Inforce 9vx is very nice also.

One of my favorites is a weapon light for the AR platform.
SureFire M951 Kit 02 tactical weapon light (with a lot of sand in the cracks)

I would offer up that regardless of the choice of light, keep in mind the batteries used. I purchased a few high intensity, high cost Surefire lights that were great light sources, but ate very expensive batteries. The c123 batteries in bulk are over 2 bucks per. Plenty happy with the LED Maglites and the AAA battery source.

I agree the batteries are pricey. I buy boxes the from Surefire also.
A lot of the newer lights come with a multiple output switch to save battery life.
Most of the time these lights are actually too bright to be practical

Elzetta lights are the best I've used. Have a ton of streamlight and the switches go bad in a year or so of almost daily use.

I have several that I use on a day to day bases.
The top one is a J5 Tactical, got 5 of them for $20.00 so I figured they were great to have around different areas in case I did not have my primary light with me. Say they are 220 lumens, I highly doubt that.
Next is the Streamlight Protac 1L, nice light but uses the CR123A battery. 180 lumens
Third, Fenix LD09, it uses a AA battery which are very common. 130 lumens
Last is the streamlight Protac 1AAA. Uses 1 AAA battery, very slim, and light weight. 70Lumens

Just ordered an Elzetta mini CQB weapon light. If it holds up to their testing, and the reviews I have seen it should prove to be one heck of a light.

That may be my next one. I need a light for a pistol and maybe an AR.

It will be going on my AR. They don't currently make a dedicated pistol light, or mount combo. Hopefully they will in the future.

Once I recover from buying this one a Bravo series one will be next.

They are a bit pricey, but American made, by American hands, with American products.

I like the 2 D-cell Mag-Lites. They have improved the brightness of the led bulb.

This is the mag-lite LED Xl50. It's my all around 'go to' flashlight.

Got the Elzatta in and mounted. What an awesome light. This thing is built like a tank, and the light pattern is perfect for close quarters search.

Added an Elzetta Bravo. This is an awesome light. 100% made in the USA, with USA made products. Lifetime warranty no matter the owner.

You're welcome. I want one of the 900 lumen ones for a home defense light.

The Bravo at 650 lumens is one impressive light. Not issue of reflective blinding, just a great balance of light.
