House was 67ºF this AM, Used the electric heat in the bathroom for the morning shower.......... :shiver:

Pick up the gasket tonight to finish the beast assembly. Likely won't test fire as we'll be baking a bit.

Stopped on the way home and picked up the CB gasket. Thats about the only thing that went well. Went to clean the vent and found :vulture:eggs!
Brush I had for some 8 seasons decided to break in the pipe!!  :headbang: :picard:Took about an hour to get the piece out. Went and borrowed a buds, Took the outside pipe apart and used his to push it towards the inside tee. Just kept bumping it along until it finally fell out the tee.

    IMG_0049.JPG

Started soaking the burn pot after the vent was buttoned up. Figured I descale the agitator :dremel: and guess what? Yeppers, That broke!! WTF>>>>>>>>

Good thing I saved the old original. Gave that a quick clean and carefully put it back together!

    IMG_0051.JPG

She may be old, Dusty and rusty! But she still heats like a beast! Just need to put the right side cover back on after I adjust and lube the chain for the agitator, Didn't dare touch that tonight!!:loco:

    IMG_0052.JPG

Guess I need to PM don2222 and order me an agitator!! :emb:

There was someone on this forum a couple of years ago that offered to try and make me an agitator (looks to be the same as JT's)...Don't remember his name though. I packed up my old agitator to send, but I never followed thru!

    Jay,
Not sure if the agitator is cast iron or some kind of steel.
Replacements are Cast Stainless ($150.00 ish) not sure what the originals are....
    Either way,
Any good welding shop should be able to fix your agitator.
    Tig weld with 309 filler.
It just has to be re-attached together....not like it needs to be high speed balanced lol.

I'm still around....just been sandbagging it. Working, Fishing, Fixing stuff.....the usual.
Had the M-55 fired up 2x so far this year. Just to take off house chill a week or so ago.
Got 3 bags left from last years stock so now I'm looking for deals.
    Thanks for asking.
