    blacksmith and I did just that over the past two weekends. A massive 96' dead red oak, to be more precise.

    We took the tops out of it two weeks ago, the tree makes that 60' Hi-Ranger look tiny! Joe did a great job gaining confidence on this job, it was a tall order. I worked the ground because I wanted very specific things done to several of the tops....

    You sure had to do a lot of clean up to get a clear space to bring down the trunk. Love the action shot of the trunk falling. Thanks for sharing the pics.
