    Is there anything that can be done about posting pictures? Most of us prefer to look at pictures sitting in a chair rather than having to lay on our side to see them. It does get a bit aggravating after a while and makes the posters look bad too.

    Are you seeing sideway pictures Dennis? If you send me links I can get them straightened out, but we can make everyone's upload the right way the first time. In particular, those of us on Apple products see some pictures as right side up when everyone else sees them upside down. It gets aggravating posting upside down pictures all the time without even knowing it.

    Sorry Dennis.... If upload to photobucket it does it automatically, but if I do it off my phone it wont. Its just sometimes(most of the time actually) easier to upload off the phone versus the upload to photobucket then to upload to the thread...

    Kevin, this is not on you, but for the record, viewing photobucket pics on the forum is a pain in the rear if you use a phone or other small screen device. Trying to zoom in on a pic is an absurdly difficult procedure.

    @Backwoods Savage

    Dennis, most of the problem starts with taking pictures on a mobile phone and uploading them directly to the forum. The phone often will correct the orientation of the pic depending if it's being held sideways or vertically but unless they see the picture on a computer before you upload it, the user often don't realize its sideways to begin with. I have gotten in the habit of taking pics with my phone held sideways and thats really the right way to do it if you intend to share/upload the pics. BTW: It's pretty easy for us mods to fix the photos so shoot us a PM if pics make your neck hurt!

    So it's a user/operator error thing for the most part but if Adam knows of a way we can auto-correct the uploads I'm all ears!

    There is a fix for the iPhone and iPad issue, I was looking at it earlier. But I think it requires another forum addon and I don't have that kind of access yet.

    MasterMech is correct here. It's all mobile devices (Android and Apple). All photos (read: ALL) photos need to be taken in Landscape, with the home button to the right. Any photo taken with the home button down (phone in upright position) will load sideways. And any photo taken with home button to the left, will loaf upside-down.

    Here is an example from my Android operated Note 3

    This is phone in its vertical mode (home button down) Any photo taken this way will post sideways.

    This is in Landscape mode (widescreen/home button to the right). All photos post normal.. :)

    All users on a mobile either need to take all photos in Landscape (sideways), or edit them and make sure they are rotated properly.

    Before I even post them, I can see the top one is sideways. It would help if users took an extra minute to edit (rotate and save), or take the original pic in wide/landscape mode.

    It does depend on the device with android.. My phone is not the same as apple devices. If taken in landscape it will be sideways. When your uploading to the forum you will see a little image imediatly after adding your photo ( before you post ) whatever direction that little thumbnail is is the direction the photo will show.
