is it lazy or efficient? seems funny that right angles are extremely rare in nature but we "brilliant " humans put them everywhere! and then complain about traffic and other flow..:sherlock: read number of posts here that say draft is better with 2 45s instead of a 90..

Case in point, Boulder Colorado put in special bike lanes on Folsom St. Couple billion dollars later all did was snarl traffic in the whole town. The bicyclers didn't even like it. They took down alot.......all that money down the drain.

Expanded bike lanes cause traffic problems in Boulder

And our stupid town... They are going to rebuild the bridge and then, rather than having 4 lanes through town, they will be cutting it to 2 lanes and adding a bike lane on both sides. Sounds fair, I guess, but whenever I've rode my bike in town, I have yet to see another. Well, whenever I've been in town, I have yet to see someone else riding their bike through town. City council had discussions and invited comments. Majority was against the idea. Guess what? We will not have 4 lanes of traffic very long in town... So much for the majority rule.

they are doing the same thing here, cutting the 4 lanes thru downtown to 2 so they can add bike lanes.

all the new road construction around here they are installing circles, they work really well once everyone figures them out. we have enough of them now that people understand them
