My old snow blower and current two mowers are B&S motors. The new snow blower is an LCT motor - never heard of them and haven't used the blower yet, but I hear nothing but good things about this particular Ariens (even from a BBS employee who says she has never seen one returned).

I have had the Ariens with the LCT for 5 winters. So far it starts up first pull everytime so long as i pump it 4 times instead of the recommended three.

I'll keep that in mind. I do keep the snow blower in the under-house garage so I'm not trying to start it in 0*F temps. I'll try the 3 pumps first then adjust if needed.

I believe my old craftsman said 4-5 pumps, and I only ever needed 3.

I miss the old Toro w/ the Tecumseh Snow King motor, it sounded like marbles spinning in a clothes dryer, and leaked gas like a sieve out the carb, but started every time - and man, did that thing throw snow. :(

Thanks G - yeah, that about sums it up here. :headbang: * Talked to the Boss & got her blessing: frame is good, but both rocker panels are junk.. It's time to go. Getting it prepped / cleaning it out today.

And cleaning out the woodshed to shoe-horn the Englander under cover / inside: hoping to test fire this weekend.
Lot's 'o paint to cure & burn off, it's gonna be a special day, I'm sure. :heidi:

Putting much of the piping & adapters that bogieb kindly gave us last season to good use on this project. * I haven't forgotten - still owe you a Bottle of "tropical Smoothie juice" when I get back your way soon.

Doing a bit of tidying up tonight, We got the cable guy coming to install Spectrum TV/Int/Telly. Sick of Frontier DSL, Paying for 3 megs and don't even get 2 megs. Wouldn't mind keeping Directv, But getting the whole package for what we pay for TV now. Can't wait for 60 megs service. Wish we had more notice by the installer called today and he'll be here tomorrow. I'll take off work an hour or 2 early. I'm a picky SOB, And I'd rather do most of the details myself.

About the only draw back is whole home DVR. Spectrum does not offer that. And I will miss it for sure. But they are supposed to offer it down the road. Hopefully we get it for nada, But thats unlikely...........
